Steph & Alex’s Lindenderry Red Hill Wedding
Steph and Alex’s wedding was romance from start to finish, set against the manicured gardens and sculpted hedges of Lindenderry Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula.
The day
Would you believe it was freezing the whole time? Between portraits, we suggested taking breaks with the heater on in the Bentley, and those quiet, warm moments gave us some of our favourite frames of Steph, framed by her veil through the car window.
After their ceremony at the Holy Monastery of Panagia Kamariani, part of the Greek Orthodox Church of Australia, the celebration moved to Lindenderry for portraits among the vineyard hedges and an elegant reception of candlelight, white florals and soft tablescapes.
Shooting a winter wedding on the Mornington Peninsula
Plan for warmth. A heated car or a cosy indoor space between portraits keeps everyone comfortable and relaxed.
Embrace the soft light. Overcast skies give even, flattering light for portraits and long veils.
Use the grounds. Lindenderry’s hedges, arches and gardens give a timeless, European feel.
