Santorini Wedding Photographer at Santo Wines
Wedding photography and film on the caldera at Pyrgos, Santorini.
Santorini, as it truly feels
We are La Este Film, a husband-and-wife photography and film studio led by Courtney and Hamish Lawrence, telling wedding stories with an editorial eye since 2013. Santorini is all light: whitewashed walls, blue doors, bougainvillea and a sunset that stops a room. We capture the whole celebration, from the quiet of the morning and a ceremony on the cliff edge to the joy that carries on long after dark.
Santo Wines and Pyrgos Restaurant
Santo Wines is the winery of the Union of Santorini Cooperatives, founded in 1947 to represent the island’s vine growers. Its winery at Pyrgos opened in 1993 on the edge of the caldera, with sweeping views over the volcano, the Aegean and the villages of Fira and Oia, and it is home to Santorini PDO wines such as Assyrtiko and Vinsanto. Its caldera terrace is one of the island’s most dramatic places to say your vows.
A short way into the village, Pyrgos Restaurant has hosted wedding receptions in Santorini for some thirty years. Traditional Cycladic architecture, a garden courtyard and views across the island and the caldera to the sunset make it a natural place for the celebration to continue.
Jasmine & Nick
In October 2025, as the island’s season softened, Jasmine and Nick gathered with their nearest and dearest in Santorini to celebrate their grand gesture to one another. They exchanged vows on the caldera at Santo Wines, then celebrated at Pyrgos Restaurant with limoncello towers, fireworks, cascading timeless florals and a sunset from a dream. Their guests even received scratchie tickets, a playful nod to “for richer or poorer”. Jasmine and Nick’s sweet nature and genuine adoration for each other, and for everyone around them, shone throughout the day. They made us feel like family and trusted us to photograph and film some magic on the other side of the world.

Planning your Santorini wedding
Light and timing
Santorini’s light is bright and reflects off every white wall. We plan portraits for the gentle light of the morning and the hour before sunset, and build the day around the sun’s descent over the caldera. In October the crowds ease and the evenings stay golden.
Two locations, one story
A ceremony on the caldera followed by a reception in the village lets us capture two settings: the vast open views at the winery, then the whitewashed lanes and courtyards of Pyrgos as evening falls.

Our multi-day coverage includes welcome events, the wedding day and recovery days, so the whole celebration is told as one story.
